HP Inc in Singapore mirrors the little red dot’s dynamic transformation over the past 50 years. We have grown from a pioneer MNC in 1970 to a diversified site (35 nationalities, 31% Women in Leadership positions, 45% Women Employees). HP Singapore is home to manufacturing sites, Customer Welcome Center, 3D and GSB Centers of Excellence.  HP Singapore began the transformation journey towards Industry 4.0 in 2017, guided by the Inkjet Supplies Operations Vision and Mission 2020 (M2020), focusing on Workforce Transformation, Digitalisation, Cyber Physical Integration, Data Analytics, and Additive Manufacturing. That lead to the creation of SMARC (Smart Manufacturing Applications & Research Center) located within its S$100m regional campus. SMARC embraced Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies, such as Additive Manufacturing (3D printing), robotics, edge computing, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), advanced analytics and machine learning capabilities in our advanced manufacturing lines.

In support of Singapore’s vision to move to advanced manufacturing, HP is exploring new technologies that will be made in Singapore for the world. One area is in Smart Manufacturing which incorporates robotics, big data analytics, 3D Printing & Workforce Transformation. The other is the “Office of the future” based on collaboration & cyber security; focus on contractual as-a-service models.

Through the persistence of transformation, HP Singapore has transformed the factory from being manual, labour intensive and reactive to being highly digitised, automated and driven by Artificial Intelligence (AI). Proud to share that one of our manufacturing lines at HP Singapore Campus was recognised by World Economic Forum and McKinsey as one of the lighthouse factories for I-4 implementation in March 2021. 

Beyond our business, we have a responsibility to positively impact the people, planet and communities where we are. On the people-front, as HP Singapore has been certified as a Great Place to Work and Great Place to Learn by Great Place to Work. On the community-front, close to 1,000 volunteers from HP Inc. devoted more than 8,000 hours to bridge the digital gap and empower disadvantaged families from more than 20 beneficiaries across Singapore.
